The Fire of Transformation in HER Eyes: On the Other Side of Addiction

The spirit behind the SHE project is one of celebration of the often unrecognized, wildly-resilient, transformational power that lies within the hearts of women.  When you look into the eyes of Davina Sowers and hear her story, you'll see a beautiful example of this power.  She has come through the dark pit of addiction and come out the other side with a heart on fire for living fully and living in gratitude and purpose.  It is epic to behold.  It has been such a good thing for my heart to slow down and gaze at.  This mysterious fire found in women, exemplified so beautifully in Davina, has such power to transform. We often downplay it as a little flame since we live in a culture that has downplayed the power of women for quite a long time.  We've grown accustomed to underestimating ourselves.  Can I just remind you of that epic-ness that's sitting right there in the center of your being, ladies?  It's the medicine that the world needs and it's right there in between each beat of your juicy, ringing heart.

Here is a clip of the song I wrote for her, "Crow" (which is her spirit animal), as part of the SHE project:
